The third edition of From Earth to Fire achieved the strongest results since its creation last year, with a total of £2.2 million and more than 61% lots sold above the high estimate.
Highlights included four dessert plates from the ‘Japanese service’, which sold for more than £140,000, against an estimate of £24,000-32,000; a German silver-gilt ‘Munzbecher’, which sold for £65,000, against an estimate of £8,000-12,000; and a gold and enamel double portrait snuff box, which sold for £68,750 against an estimate of £30-50,000.
