This time, it is not only the esthete and the bibliophile, it is the music and poetry lover that emerge from this collection. This third session opens with a choice of scores and booklets ranging from Purcell to Wagner (with his annotated Meistersinger), through Bach, Beethoven, Haydn or Debussy, and finds an ideal extension in the second part devoted to poetry: Dante, Villon, the Amours de Ronsard, Le Tasse, Petrarch, but also Apollinaire, Mallarme, Reverdy, the surrealists.
A selection from the collection will be on view at Sotheby’s in London on 18, 19, 21 and 22 May.
The sale will take place on 28 June at Drouot Richelieu In Paris. For additional information please click HERE.
