RESULTS
Combining contemporary art, design and photography, the second instalment of our Now! sale series, curated by Aurélie Bidermann, surpassed €1 million with 81% of lots sold by value and more than 55% of lots sold above their high estimate. With more than 35% of buyers new to Sotheby’s, the sale was a great success confirming that there is still significant demand for original works with attractive estimates.
The highest price of the auction was Yves Klein’s Victoire de Samothrace, which more than doubled its high estimate selling for €123,000. A further highlight of the auction was a work from celebrated Turkish painter Burhan Doğançay from 1976, which sold for €32,000.
