The Boundless: Contemporary Art sale in Hong Kong totalled HK$32.6 million / US$4.2 million. The sale was led by twenty-eight Gold Medallions by Pablo Picasso, fetching HK$ 4,900,000/ US$ 631,000 as the top lot of the auction. Highlight pieces including work from Zao Wou-ki and Keith Haring also performed well.
The sale presents works ranging from remarkable Western and Asian modern and contemporary works to celebrated design pieces. Following the success of the specially curated sections in our previous auctions, the sale will also offer a selection of Western and Asian photographs and rare artist-designed jewelleries. French designer Guy de Rougemont will be introduced at auction in Asia for the first time with a selection of recent and vintage design pieces. The diversity of his colourful and innovative works will appeal to new and seasoned collectors alike.
