RESULTS
Realising the second highest total for a Treasures sale, Treasures 2015 achieved some excellent results for Decorative Art. A pair of Italian rosewood pietre-dure-mounted, inlaid ebony cabinets, Roman, circa 1625, on Regency stands achieved £1,265,000, a record price for Roman pietre dure cabinets; a monumental quartz granite vase, Roman Egypt, probably Alexandria, circa 1st century B.C, realised £1,085,000; and a parcel-gilt silver standing salt, circa 1560 sold for £1,025,000.

Presenting a rich array of works of art, each chosen for their outstanding quality, rareness and provenance, Treasures 2015 includes five resplendent works from the collections of the Earls of Carlisle at Castle Howard, and further treasures with iconic provenances amongst others, Madame de Pompadour, Napoléon I, King George IV, Edward VII, Emperor Nicholas I & Emperor Nicholas II of Russia, King Friedrich Wilhelm III, King of Prussia, Marquise Carolina Sampieri, The Dukes of Norfolk, 3rd Earl of Lichfield for Ditchley Park.
