Spearheaded by the excellent property sold on behalf of the Guinness Trusts, our Collections auction achieved a sale total of £1,980,421 with some staggering individual results. Highlights included a fabulous William Morris ‘Hammersmith’ Carpet which made £185,000 against a low estimate of £80,000 and a beautiful Regency library table which achieved £102,500 against a low estimate of £20,000. At the other end of the scale, bargains were had for a few hundred pounds, such as a Japanese Kutani punch bowl which sold for £125.
