Catherine Casteel Olasky is the co-founder and Director of Olasky & Sisteden. Catherine began her design career working in New York City for Bunny Williams, where she spent five years. In 2006, seeking to enrich her knowledge in the European antiques trade and to work in historic houses, she moved to London to work at Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler, where she spent 4 years. In January 2010, Catherine and Max began Olasky & Sistenden. Catherine has a B.A. from Auburn University and a certificate in interior decoration from Parsons School of Design.

Maximilian P Sisteden is co-founder and Director of Olasky & Sisteden. Max began his career in the design industry at the age of fifteen working in the offices of David Easton Inc. In 2006, he moved on to the interior design department at Charlotte Moss, where he also helped oversee the creation of her famed Upper East Side store. Following a project at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in 2009, Max joined forces with Catherine to form their present firm. Max has a B.A. from Drew University.
