Our 30-31 October auction of Prints achieved 8,731,377 USD. Highlighting the sale was Henri Matisse's Jazz, which sold for 533,000 USD. Also performing strongly was Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's Moulin Rouge, La Goulue, which sold for 389,000 USD.
The 30-31 October Print sale includes work from an array of Modern and Contemporary masters. Highlights include several ethereal woodcuts by Arthur Wesley Dow; eighteen progressive proofs of Pablo Picasso’s 1945 lithograph Les Deux Femmes Nues, as well as one rare red impression of the eighth state; Andy Warhol prints ranging from his early portrait of Liz and a full set of Campbell’s Soup II in the original box, to individual examples from his 1980 portfolios, Ads and Myths and Brice Marden’s Cold Mountain Series, six extraordinary etchings from 1991.
