Our À Table ! auction achieved a final result of €1,464,268. Highlights of the sale included an American 18-carat-gold coffee set by Tiffany and a beautiful 18th-century Chinese porcelain plate, which sold for €57,300 and €39,900 respectively. Also performing well was an oval tureen from the late Kangxi period, which achieved €36,250, three times its pre-sale high estimate.
In December 2014 Sotheby’s will hold a unique and eclectic sale based on the theme of ‘the table’.
