Our 30 October sale brought $3 million. Leading the sale was an important Louis XVI style gilt bronze mounted satinwood and fruitewood marquetry and parquetry meuble a hauteur d'appui, which sold for $143,000. Also performing strongly was an important micromosaic table top. This piece, attributed to the Cavaliere Michelangelo Barberi workshop, achieved $131,000 - well over the high estimate.
