The Summer Jewellery auction in London on July 15th will offer an array of beautiful and wearable antique, modern and contemporary jewels, by leading makers, at affordable prices.
Sale highlights include two unusual Spanish jewels created in the Modernista style, the Catalan version of Art Nouveau, and, from the same period, an attractive gem-set and enamel brooch by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The 19th century Revivalist style is well represented by an attractive gold and micromosaic jewel of Etruscan inspiration by Castellani.
The sale also includes a necklace by Lalaounis, from the 1980s designed as a wreath of oak leaves, to be sold for the benefit of Eliza- Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Further highlights include diamond and gem-set necklaces, rings, earrings and brooches and a number of attractive pieces created by the most renowned international jewellery houses, including Boucheron, Buccellati, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels.
