This December, Sotheby's Important Tiffany auction includes a highly curated selection of leaded glass lamps, favrile glass and bronze works by Tiffany Studios. Remarkably, many of these items are consigned from direct descendents of the original owners. Included in this group is a unique custom-designed "Landscape" floor lamp executed by Alice Wilson, one of the famously so called "Tiffany Girls" who was a member of the Tiffany Studios Women's Glass Cutting Department between 1904 and 1909. One of the premiere private collections represented in the sale include this exceedingly rare "Grape" lamp displaying an exceptional artistic glass selection, as well as a superb example of the firm's iconic "Laburnum" lamp. The sale also features two rare oil paintings by Louis Comfort Tiffany, including this important Still Life which descended through the artist's family.
