Our June 16th auction of Important 20th Century Design represents a tightly-curated chronological survey of American and European design from the turn of the century through the present date. Featured is a superb collection of leaded glass lamps by Tiffany Studios from several distinguished private collections, including a magnificent "Dragonfly" Table Lamp on a rare mosaic base. The sale also includes many iconic works by renowned early American Modern designers, including a rediscovered interior by Paul Frankl from 1936. Also featured is a select group of French Art Deco masterworks by Emile Jacques Ruhlmann and Armand-Albert Rateau, including the monumental four-panel screen shown here. The final chapter of the sale focuses on important postwar design by many pioneering visionaries, including Jean Prouvé, Serge Mouille, George Nakashima and Harry Bertoia.
