The Earl and Countess of Hopetoun in conjunction with Lord Dalmeny, the Directors of Sotheby’s and The Dalmore, recently hosted an intimate champagne reception and exclusive whisky tasting at Hopetoun House, Edinburgh. Jonathan Driver, Rare Whisky Director, expertly guided guests through the rare whisky tasting which included an outstanding vintage of The Dalmore Constellation Collection from 1973. By kind permission of Lord & Lady Hopetoun, the Sotheby’s Edinburgh Office hosted a successful valuation event in the Ballroom at Hopetoun the following day. The highlight of the valuation day was the consignment of a jade plaque for sale in London, provisionally valued between £30,000 and £50,000.
