The sale achieved an outstanding £4.8million with over 60% of the jewels selling above their high estimate. Strong competition was seen for the signed jewels such as these two brooches by Van Cleef & Arpels, with prices soaring above their pre-sale estimates. Interest was also seen for natural pearls as well as coloured diamonds.
The London sale of Fine Jewels offers a wonderful, carefully curated, assortment of jewels. With summer around the corner there is a wide selection of bright, colourful gemstones and diamonds, a number of which are mounted into whimsical designs by some of the world’s leading Jewellery Houses. There are also several jewels with great provenances, including a spectacular diamond necklace which was refashioned in the early 20th century and comes from a European Noble Family, alongside jewels from the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and Hélène Rochas.
