Our second sale of the spring season includes a number of consignments direct from wineries in Bordeaux, Champagne and the Napa Valley. From St Emilion come 100 lots direct from Château Angélus, a highly sought after 1er Grad Cru Classé wine, including two vertical lots of sic magnums (1989, 1990, 1998, 2000, 2005, 2009) and twelve bottles ( 1985, 1986, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2005, 2009).
Cristal is, arguable, the most legendary wine form Louise Roederer, one of the greatest Champagne houses. OF the 50 lots in this sale that come direct from Roederer, half are Cristal including a full twelve-bottle case of the spectacular 1990.
Quickly established as one of the California ‘First Growths’, Colgin Cellars was first established in 1002 with the Herb Lamb Vineyard label and was later joined by Tychson Hill, Cariad and the IX Estate. This ex-cellar sale consists of 26 lots including vertical lots such as 1992-2007 Colgin Herb Lamb and 2002-07 Colgin Tychson, joined a rare five magnum horizontal of all the Colgin wines from the 2005 vintage. All of the wines in their original wooden cases bear Colgin Library brass plates to indicate their impeccable winery provenance.
